Judy Chu, a veteran legislator representing California’s 28th district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal on social issues through her online presence. Recently, she addressed critical matters ranging from gun violence prevention to economic policies affecting Americans.
On April 29, 2025, Judy Chu took to social media to express her concern about gun violence prevention and criticize comments made by former attorney general Pam Bondi. She noted, “I’ve looked into the eyes of families shattered by gun violence. For @AGPamBondi to call lifesaving prevention ‘wasteful spending’ is cruel and dangerous.” She referenced a tragic event in Monterey Park, where “Monterey Park lost 11 lives,” and vowed that efforts will continue to prevent future tragedies.
She further addressed Bondi with a short statement linking to a more detailed explanation of her stance. On April 29, 2025, she wrote, “@AGPamBondi To read my full statement please visit: https://t.co/eQgsa2rhLt”.
Continuing her online engagement, Judy Chu criticized economic strategies on April 30, 2025. She claimed, “This was entirely avoidable. Trump and his Rubber Stamp Republicans are wrecking the economy, and we’re only 100 days in. Americans deserve better.”
Judy Chu was born in Los Angeles in 1953 and has lived in Monterey Park. A UCLA graduate, she has been an influential figure in politics, serving in various legislative capacities since 2001.
