Judy Chu, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 28th district since 2009, posted a series of updates on her social media account addressing issues ranging from foster care policies affecting LGBTQ+ youth to recent achievements in American space exploration and reminders about tax filing deadlines.

On April 10, 2026, Chu addressed the impact of federal policy changes on LGBTQ+ foster youth, writing: “Every child deserves a safe, stable, & loving home. Research shows that LGBTQ+ foster youth thrive more when placed with affirming caregivers. Now, Trump’s recission of the Designated Placement Rule puts the most vulnerable youth at even greater risk.

Artemis II’s journey represents the best of what we can achieve when we commit to American aerospace innovation and discovery. This mission is a testament to the brilliance & dedication of the incredible teams at JPL and NASA who https://t.co/3kuRgWa9i5″.
