Judy Chu, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 28th district since 2009, has recently addressed issues ranging from foreign policy to gender wage gaps in a series of posts on her social media account.
On April 8, 2026, Chu criticized former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding Iran, stating: “Trump unilaterally started a war with Iran that the American people did not want. It cost 13 American servicemembers’ lives, skyrocketed costs for gas and basic necessities, and shattered U.S. credibility following Trump’s threats to annihilate Iran’s population.”
A day later, on April 9, 2026, she highlighted ongoing disparities in pay for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) women: “On AANHPI Women’s Equal Pay Day, we reflect on the persistent wage gap that continues to impact our communities. For every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men, AANHPI women earn just 83 cents. That’s why I’ll continue the fight for AANHPI women to be recognized, respected,”
