Judy Chu, a member of the United States Congress representing California’s 28th district, has recently commented on various topics affecting her constituents and broader national issues via her social media posts.
On April 28, 2025, Chu drew attention to the impact of former President Trump’s tariffs, specifically mentioning, “One of Trump’s tariff victims? The company that literally keeps the lights on in Congress and they happen to be a constituent of mine.” She highlighting her visit to the Nila LED lighting company, where she witnessed the disruption caused by the tariffs.
Later that day, on April 28, 2025, Chu shared her experience of participating in an event where “the delivery of 300 new Chromebooks to students across LA impacted by January’s wildfires” took place. This initiative was a part of a $15 million recovery effort supported by Google and YouTube. Chu acknowledged the significant impact on the Pasadena Unified School District and commended the local community for their resilience.

Judy Chu has served in the U.S. Congress since 2009, having previously been a member of the California State Assembly from 2001 to 2006. Born in Los Angeles in 1953, Chu currently resides in Monterey Park and is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.
