Judy Chu, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 28th district since 2009, posted a series of messages on her social media account in early April 2026 addressing both holiday greetings and concerns over national security.
On April 5, Chu extended well wishes to her followers, writing, “Happy Easter! Wishing everyone celebrating a joyful day surrounded by loved ones and filled with hope, love, and renewal.”
The following day, on April 6, she commented on recent political developments involving former President Donald Trump. Chu stated, “This is not normal. Donald Trump’s reckless, unhinged comments put Americans’ safety and our national security at risk. The American people don’t want this war. Prices are skyrocketing and U.S. service members’ lives are on the line. Republicans must join Democrats to end this”.
Continuing her criticism on April 7, Chu wrote: “Trump is dangerous. Republicans who refuse to stand up to him are putting us all at risk. We must stop this war and we must stop Trump’s reckless escalation.”
Chu has served in Congress since replacing Hilda Solis in 2009 after previously serving in the California State Assembly from 2001 to 2006. She was born in Los Angeles in 1953 and currently resides in Monterey Park. Chu earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1974.
