Judy Chu, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 28th district since 2009, recently highlighted her office’s constituent services and celebrated a local achievement in a series of posts on May 29, 2026.
In one post, Chu stated, “From troubleshooting Disaster Home Loan applications to expediting time-sensitive U.S. travel visas, my casework team is ready to help. She followed up by directing constituents to resources for federal assistance, “If you’re in need of assistance with a federal issue, visit: https://t.co/GkmBTR2FK2” (May 29, 2026).
Later that day, Chu congratulated a local student for an academic accomplishment, “Congratulations to Rancho Cucamonga’s own Shrey Parikh on winning the 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee! Your talent is astonishing, further demonstrated by you spelling 32 words correctly during the spell-off, a new Bee record. You make CA-28 proud! https://t.co/J1nZbzT1FV” (May 29, 2026).
Chu has represented California’s 28th District in Congress since replacing Hilda Solis in 2009 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2001 to 2006. Born in Los Angeles in 1953 and currently residing in Monterey Park, she graduated from UCLA with a BA in 1974.
