Judy Chu, U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 28th district since 2009, shared a series of updates on her official X account highlighting community events and local achievements.
On November 3, 2025, Chu promoted an event for veterans and military spouses in Los Angeles: “This #NationalVeteransSmallBusinessWeek, join the @LA_VBOC for an in-person lender panel & conversation for Veterans and military spouses on Wednesday at @PCCLancer from 7-9pm. Learn how to navigate the small business funding process & how to secure the capital to grow your” (posted November 3, 2025).
Later that day, she congratulated a local sports team on their achievement: “Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers on back-to-back World Series titles! You’ve made LA so proud. “ (posted November 3, 2025).
On November 4, Chu reported attending a community food distribution event: “This weekend I visited the Bristol Myers Squibb Food is Medicine pop-up event at the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena and was so grateful to see dozens of volunteers providing hundreds of people in our community with nutritious food & support. Chu has represented California’s 28th congressional district since replacing Hilda Solis in Congress in 2009. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2001 to 2006. Born in Los Angeles in 1953 and currently residing in Monterey Park, Chu graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974.
