Judy Chu, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 28th district, posted on her official Twitter account on September 22, 2025, about introducing a bipartisan resolution in honor of her nephew and to address mental health care for military personnel.
In her first post at 14:44 UTC, Chu wrote, “My nephew, Marine Lance Cpl. Harry Lew, died by suicide after a horrific hazing incident in Afghanistan. To honor his memory and fight for the mental health care our heroes deserve, I introduced a bipartisan resolution with @RepKeithSelf & @DonaldNorcross to make Sept 22 National”.
Shortly after, at 14:45 UTC, she followed up with information on how to learn more about the proposed resolution: “@RepKeithSelf @DonaldNorcross To read more about our resolution visit: https://t.co/7qnKzm43Pv”.
Later that day at 18:34 UTC, Chu highlighted Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions Week. She stated, “This week is Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions Week, honoring colleges that serve 46% of all AANHPI undergrads in the U.S. and have been expanding educational opportunities with the help of federal grants since 2007. I’m happy to join”.
