California State Polytechnic University, Pomona issued the following announcement on Oct. 23
Cal Poly Pomona will provide Los Angeles County residents with a place to cast their ballots.
Kellogg Arena will serve as an 11-day vote center starting Saturday, Oct. 24 through Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
County residents who are registered to vote can do so in person or bring their vote-by-mail ballot to the drop box that will be located inside the arena. Residents can register to vote on site.
The vote center’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Oct. 24 through Nov. 2. Election Day hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., or until the last voter in line by 8 p.m. has had an opportunity to vote. Parking is available in Parking Structure 2.
Campus community members who do not reside in LA County may visit the California Secretary of State’s website to find a polling place or vote center near them.
Community members visiting the vote center do not need to complete the health screener, which is typically required when visiting campus.
Because elections are an essential activity, Gov. Gavin Newsom has issued executive orders to ensure elections are safe and accessible. LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) will adhere to State and LA County Public Health Protocols specific to vote centers.
