City of Diamond Bar issued the following announcement on Nov. 19
Starting this Saturday, Los Angeles County along with 40 other counties in the Purple Tier – the most restrictive level in the state's Blueprint for a Safer Economy – will be on a state-imposed overnight curfew for one month.
This curfew requires all non-essential work, gatherings and outdoor activities to stop from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting November 21 and until December 21.
According to the California Department of Public Health, there has been an unprecedented rise in COVID-19 cases – about 50 percent during the first week in November. The goal of the curfew is to decrease the number of hours individuals are in the community and mixing with individuals outside of their household.
