On December 11, 2024, Judy Chu criticized Republican tax proposals in a tweet: "Republicans want to cut taxes for the rich while making it more expensive, more difficult, and take longer to file your taxes—all to serve the interests of their donors." She emphasized her commitment to defending improvements made to IRS customer service alongside her Democratic colleagues from the Ways and Means Committee.
Later that day, she voiced her opposition to a legislative bill through another tweet dated December 11, 2024: "This bill will: deprive servicemembers' trans kids from accessing lifesaving health care fail to curb excessive spending at @DeptofDefense, which has never passed an audit keep Guantanamo Bay open" She stated that she voted against the bill and shared a link to her full statement.
In a subsequent tweet on December 13, 2024, Chu commemorated the signing of the Respect for Marriage Act by President Biden two years ago: "2 years ago, @POTUS signed the #RespectForMarriageAct into law..."
