Representative Judy Chu, a long-standing member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 28th district, has recently expressed her views on social media regarding several political issues and a congratulatory note to a promising young talent. Judy Chu, who assumed office in 2009, shared her opinions on policy decisions attributed to the Trump administration in a series of tweets.

In a tweet dated April 2, 2025, Chu criticized the tariffs imposed by then-President Trump, stating that "These tariffs aren’t liberation. They’re stupidity and the clearest sign Trump cares more about being a bully than helping Americans.” She referenced a recent comment by Trump regarding the potential price hikes caused by tariffs, implying a lack of concern for American consumers.

Later on the same day, April 2, 2025, Chu questioned the continued employment of certain officials within the Trump administration, asking, "WHY are @MikeWaltz47 & @SecDef still employed by the Trump administration and endangering the American people?" indicating a dissatisfaction with the current defense policies.

On April 3, 2025, she shifted her focus from criticism to commendation, highlighting young talent in the field of technology. Chu praised Kelly Zhang, the winner of her Annual Congressional App Challenge, stating, "Wonderful to welcome Kelly Zhang to D.C., winner of my Annual Congressional App Challenge! Her app, Vision of Grove, uses geospatial tech to boost disaster relief and cyclone risk assessment. The future is bright with young minds like Kelly leading the way!"
