Judy Chu, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 28th district, recently shared her perspectives on various issues via social media. Her statements touched on matters ranging from law enforcement to environmental policy and community recovery efforts.

On January 23, 2025, Judy Chu expressed concerns about recent actions by former President Trump, who she claims released individuals convicted of violent offenses back into society. She cited specific incidents involving DJ Rodriguez, David Dempsey, and Julian Khater as examples of the dangers posed by these decisions. "DJ Rodriguez tased an officer into a heart attack. David Dempsey stomped on officers' heads. Julian Khater bear sprayed Officer Brian Sicknick, who later died from injuries."

Later that day, Chu highlighted her legislative efforts aimed at wildfire prevention and community protection in the wake of the Eaton Fire. She announced her support for the Fix Our Forests Act as a step towards safeguarding communities in the San Gabriel Valley despite acknowledging imperfections in the bill. "As we begin to heal from the devastation of the Eaton Fire, I voted today for the Fix Our Forests Act."

In another statement made on January 23, 2025, Chu emphasized the importance of supporting those affected by natural disasters. Together with Rep. Friedman from California, she urged USPS to enhance its resources and staffing in Los Angeles to address delays caused by wildfires. "Those who are already facing great loss should not be met with more obstacles as they try to rebuild their lives."
