Judy Chu expresses gratitude for federal aid package supporting Angelenos

Judy Chu, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 28th district, shared a series of tweets on February 22, 2025, expressing gratitude and outlining her views on federal aid and community support. Judy Chu has been serving in Congress since 2009 after replacing Hilda Solis and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2001 to 2006.

In one tweet, she expressed appreciation for the efforts of the California Governor and his team. She highlighted that "This package will provide an injection of desperately needed federal aid for rebuilding homes, businesses, & community institutions to support the healing process for Angelenos suffering the trauma of losing loved ones, homes."

She also emphasized unity and compassion among Americans in times of need by stating that "Ultimately, as Americans, we don’t turn our backs on our neighbors in need or punish them for political differences; we lift them up and support them in their restoration, recovery, and healing."
