Judy Chu, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 28th district, has expressed her views on language policies and economic issues through a series of tweets. Her statements reflect her ongoing commitment to inclusivity and criticism of certain governmental actions.

On March 4, 2025, Judy Chu tweeted about her longstanding opposition to English-only initiatives. She stated, "I've fought against English-only initiatives my whole career in public service." She emphasized that the United States should be welcoming to everyone and that taxpayers should receive government services regardless of their spoken language.

In another tweet posted shortly after, Chu criticized former President Trump's efforts related to language policies. She argued that "Trump’s can't make English our 'official language' but he can make life more difficult for millions." According to Chu, these measures would not reduce costs or improve government efficiency but rather restrict services for non-English-speaking taxpayers.

Later on the same day, Chu addressed economic concerns regarding trade policies initiated by Trump. She remarked that "Trump promised prices would decrease on 'Day One' of his presidency. He lied." She attributed higher consumer prices at various points of sale to what she described as "reckless" trade wars initiated during Trump's tenure.
