Later that day, Chu criticized former President Trump and his Education Secretary for their financial policies regarding public education. She stated that "Trump and his billionaire Education Secretary are stealing YOUR taxpayer dollars out of our public schools and classrooms and making it even harder for low- and middle-income families to afford college."
